I just heard Iggy Pop’s “King of the Dogs” and it reminded me of the Stray Cat’s “Stray Cat Strut”.
So what other songs are sung exclusively from an animal’s 1st person point of view? I guess you could include Pink Floyd’s “Sheep”.
Any others?

The Heavy Blinkers’ “From the Barnyard,” a first-person perspective of a chicken who goes on a space flight.
Yes, really.
ETA: Actually, the song is a little sad, if creepy, as the chicken realizes that it’s probably actually going to end up as someone’s dinner. “From the chopping block, to a medal 'round my neck…from conveyor belts, to Van Allen.”

Alice Cooper’s “Guttercat vs. the Jets” is sung from the point of view of an alley cat, but… evolves into a cover of “The Jets’ Song” from “West Side Story.”
For a change of pace from Alice, there John Denver’s “The Eagle and the Hawk.”

Genesis, “All in a Mouse’s Night” (actually switches among mouse, human, and cat points of view)
Jethro Tull, “Rover”
Adrian Belew, “The Lone Rhinoceros”
One of my favorite singer/songwriters just released her latest album in May with a track called “White Cat”. Here’s the scoop and a bit of the lyrics from the website.
This song is a fantasy about how Penrod viewed “his staff” who were there to serve him, the center of the universe. Anyone who has had pets, especially cats, can probably relate to this song.
Apparently, Penrod wasn’t your typical cat. Unlike most other cats, he groomed himself once or twice a year
*I was a white cat once, but when I roll around I get all gray and brown
And it does not make sense to waste a busy day licking the dirt away
And I have staff for that, sent here to serve the cat
I let my fur get gray and then I dock their pay
It’s a brand new mornin’ as I stretch and arise
Amble over to the table, little nibble on the kibble
Shred a little sofa as I open my eyes
Yes I got ratted, matted messed up hair
This verbal fur ball does not care
I want to be the lord of the fleas
I saunter and I do what I please
So if you need to see the key to be ungroomed
You just stay tuned to this Maine Coon*
Tommy The Cat, of course.
In Doctor Dolittle (1967), Polynesia the Parrot sings a verse of the song “Doctor Dolittle”.

On the first season of the Theme Time Radio Hour, Bob Dylan played a neat Bob Dorough reading of the poem “Dog” by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, set to a great Jazz soundtrack. I found a .rm file but it won’t play on my laptop. Ah well!
In The Air Tonight by Genesis.

Dead Kennedy’s “I am the Owl” is however about being a wiretapping plumber, and not being a strigiforme.
