Mercury Blues by Alan Jackson
Fire by Ohio Players
Brick House by The Commodores
Back in the USA by Linda Ronstadt
C’est La Vie by Bob Seger
Footstompin’ Music by Grand Funk Railroad

Old school, baby. I dont even know a quarter of the music y’all have listed!

Republica - Ready to go
Gorillaz - Dare
Michael Sembello - Maniac
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground

General jams:
Who Made Who - AC/DC
Let’s Get Rocked - Def Leppard

Highway jam:
Everybody Wants To Rule the World - Tears for Fears

Odd sort of sidewalk jam thing:

The Girl Can’t Help It - Journey

Claude McLin - Jambo!

Joe Satriani - Back to Shalla Bal

Joe Satriani - Ceremony

Joe Satriani - Raspberry Jam Delta-V

You’re probably seeing a pattern by now.

New Soul Cowboys - Painted Horse (Enter Site)

Halfby - Screw the Plan

I think my work here is done, have fun getting that out of your head by the way.

OMG! I have no idea how I forgot this song: Interstellar Overdrive!!!

The first two minutes get me so pumped up! The middle is less energetic due to some of crazy noises Floyd puts in, but then it starts to really pick up again in the last three-ish minutes. Nice drum roll to begin the decline.

That opening guitar though… swoon

Nothing really compares to this song’s ability to get me pumped up, but I remembered Livin’ La Vida Loca and La Macarena.

Say what you want about the above two songs, but they’re catchy as fuck, whether or not you want to admit it. On the other hand, do not under any circumstances bad mouth Interstellar Overdrive or I’ll put these bees to use.

Also, that Satriani guy can really jam too.

Jammin’ Bob Marley
The Music Never Stopped Grateful Dead
Ramblin’ Man Allman Bros
Superstition Stevie Wonder
Sultans of Swing Dire Straits

There are so many songs that make me want to rock out.

Check Yes Juliet - We the Kings
Fergalicious - Fergie
Hips Dont Lie - Shakira
Smooth - Santana
It’s Tricky - Run DMC
Banana Man - Tally Hall (If you’ve never heard this, give it a listen. It will never leave your head.)
Tequila - The Champs
La Bamba - cover by Lou Diamond Philips
It’s Raining Men - Weather Girls
Twist and Shout - The Beatles
I Saw her standing there - The Beatles
Helter Skelter - The Beatles (This one doesn’t make me dance, but I do start head-banging and screaming along with the lyrics.)
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
I Want to Dance with Somebody - Whitney Houston
Jailhouse Rock - Elvis Presley
What is Love - Haddaway
YMCA - The Village People
Peanut Butter Jelly Time
Numa Numa
I Need To Know - Marc Anthony
Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne
Do You Want To - Franz Ferdinand

Put on any one of these songs and I turn into a ridiculous dancing fool.

[nitpick]It’s called Dragostea Din Tei[/nitpick]

On that note…

Hare Hare Yukai
Caramelldansen (yes, that is the official video. Yes, that was entirely inspired by the meme)

Stauderhorse: I know a lot of those songs and yes, those are some definate jams. I like the way you slip Peanut Butter Jelly Time in there all quick-like. :stuck_out_tongue:

I guarantee that this one gets me up and bopping.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band - Aint Nothing Wrong With That

Found it via a Dope recommendation - love it!

I Can’t Decide and Tits On The Radio-Scissor Sisters
Voodoo Child-Rogue Traders
Whiskey In The Jar and Free Speech For The Dumb-Metallica
Is There Something I Should Know?-Duran Duran
Armageddon It and C’mon C’mon-Def Leppard
I Did It-Dave Matthews Band
Personal Jesus-Depeche Mode
Foxy Foxy-Rob Zombie
Head Like A Hole-Nine Inch Nails

Wow, that’s…uh…bouncy.

As a side note, does anyone know any other Billy Idol songs that have the same general sound as the ones listed here? I have only heard these two and love them.

Okay, your turn.[/QUOTE]

*Blue Highway *is a really good Billy Idol jamming song.

Some thus far unmentioned fav. jams of mine:

Dissolution by Ozric Tentacles.

New Orleans Is Sinking by Tragically Hip

Life During Wartime by Talking Heads (Hell, the entire “Stop Making Sense” concert is jamming.)

Soul Sacrifice by Santana

the Ballad of You & Me & Pooneil by Jefferson Airplane

and Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On by Jerry Lee Lewis.

Also, “Not Fade Away/Goin’ Down the Road Feelin’ Bad” by the Grateful Dead (for which I couldn’t find a decent video just now.)

Two words.

Def Lepard

Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden

Ya know, I’m not sure I’d actually have jammed to that song if that video wasn’t leading the way in it’s accompanying “dance”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just listened to Tits On the Radio despite someone not providing a link. I must say, I think I’m going to have to investigae these Scissor Sisters further. They’re 2-for-2. An instrumental of Tits On the Radio would rock.

Free Speech For the Dumb thankfully doesn’t have a whole lot of vocals, because damn those instruments got me moving!

Everyone else: Keep 'em coming. The weekend is upon us and we (Dopers/Lurkers) need some stuff to rock to!

EDIT: You guys can post techno and dance songs also ya know. Like Everybody’s Free and the few others I’ve also posted.

HARD ROCK AND BLUES (made to be played loud or at least with some attitude)

Fight for all the wrong reasons - Nickleback
Humans Being - Van Halen
Mary Jane’s Last Dance - Tom Petty
Green Onions - Booker T and the MG’s
electric church red house - Jimi Hendrix
Comfort of Strangers - Skin
Little Wing- Stevie Ray Vaughan
Voodoo Chile Blues - Jimi Hendrix (this specific version)
Rough Boy - ZZ top

MISC

Tango – Dalbello - female vocalist

Because It’s There - Michael Hedges - guitar player of his own genre
