songs with "la la la" in them

I’m trying to make a mix CD comprised of songs containing the lyrics “la la la…” in them…I know there are tons, but all the lyric search engines I’ve tried don’t really work for lyric searches, they want the album, song, or artist…I’d be grateful for song suggestions, or if anyone knows how to do an actual lyric search, that’d be great too.

Deck the Halls.
Good Morning Starshine.

Try going to Mudcat and searching their Digital Traditions database. I got several good hits.

The chorus to Iggy Pop’s “The Passenger” is all "la"s.

“Waterloo Sunset”, by the Kinks", has “sha la la”, not sure if that’s close enough.

I’m sure there are hundreds more, but those were the first two good songs that popped into my head.

“Loving You” by Minnie Ripperton.

“La la la la Lola” - the Kinks
“Sha la la” - Manfred Mann
“Obla di, Obla da” the Beatles
“Teen Angst” Cracker

I always liked this one

La, la, la, LINOLEUM!

For “La La La …”

“The Ocean” by Led Zeppelin (during the slow a capella part)

“Sing” by the Carpenters

Here’s three with “Na Na Na …”

“Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’” by Journey

“Nah Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Hey (Goodbye)” by Steam

“Give it Up” by K.C. (of KC & the Sunshine Band)

The theme song to “Family Ties”

Live For Today
Deck The Halls
Elmo’s Song
The Boxer

That’s all I can think of right now…

What the hell is wrong with you people??

Did you grow up in China? The Banana Splits TV theme song has THE most “La la’s” than any song. Period, pencils down.

I’m ashamed of you all. Minus 50 points for you!

Jet Black

Oh yeah, “Signal in the Sky” by the Apples in Stereo.

Go Cartoon Network!

[time warp]: Shirelles,* Baby, It’s You*; Bobby Vee, * Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen * [/time warp]

Trading My Sorrows by Darrell Evans

I wanna be sedated by The Ramones is close with na na na na na na na na na I wanna be sedated but no la la la (I can’t believe I just wrote that).

Hey Jude, the Beatles

Ellen, I’m disappointed in you.

Brown Eyed Girl

(I was just listening to the Jimmy Buffett version as i was waiting for the thread to load.)

Well smack me right between my brown eyes.

Here is a site that has a great “lalalala…” song. Beware! You’ll fall off of your chair laughing after a while.

do these fit in the scope of your CD:

Metallica - The Memory Remains
Marilyn Manson - Rock is Dead.

The Metallica song has the La la la bit by Marianne Faithfull (sp?), and the Manson one is part of the chorus.

There is a song called The Curse of Millhaven by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Just warning you, it’s a little freaky; it’s about a serial-murderer teenage girl and the chorus is:

“La la la la
la la la la
All God’s children, they all gotta die.”

‘Around the World’ by ATC (Euro-dance)
