Sorority girl's warning letter to sisters goes viral - It's epic

Also a Delta Gamma, btw.

coincidence? I think not

Still too typecast-y.

Barbara Bush.

Does that mean “we’re both members of the same sorority”?

I’m guessing it’s some bureaucratic process for reporting student misbehaviour.

Sigourney Weaver could put the fear of impending doom into a house full of sorority girls.

Ditto Helen Mirren.

In other words, you agree with me, right? We would be having a very different conversation if a male Fraternity Drama King sent exactly that letter, and he would get strung up in the quad by a body part that Sorority Drama Queen doesn’t even have. Right?

I was puzzled too. Mean Old Lady specified that as her favorite part, so presumably she understands. I looked up SOR at UrbanDictionary, and the top definition was “Sorry.”

But… at an acronym site, buried among 30 possibilities was “Sex Offenders Registry” which seemed promising.

More specifically, a half-felt one. So if you go up to crazy sorority chick and say, “oh, I went to the Gamma Beta party, so, like, Sors,” SHE WILL ASSAULT YOU.

Or maybe she doesn’t care if you put her on the sex offender registry for assaulting her. That works too.

100% agree. He nailed it.

I still want to see Christopher Walken read it.

Gary Oldman?
Jack Nicholson?

Shit out of ruck? Ya’ know, like a bad fake Japanese accent.

How about Mr. T?

This chick is (if the pictures are to be believed) hot and she probably gets away with this kind of treatment all the time. She’d be fun in short spurts but I’d never want to be good friends with her.

Just shorthand for soror, no? Anywho, I just liked the “And don’t try to approach me sympathetically. I will hit you!” bit. Welp, now that this girl’s 5 minutes are over, I patiently await the next meltdown for the internet to gawk at.

Just a quick question: What does she mean when she mentions how some of her sisters might take umbrage and SOR her? Is that some sort internal report-and-complaint system?

Beyond that–I know that going Greek is a major commitment, but it’s not supposed to be like a religion, is it? Students generally are highly apt to have friends on the opposing team in an intramural event.

Oh never mind:

Other thread on this exact question.

Well, this surprises no one, she’s out of her frat.

I don’t think I saw anybody here link to this earlier analysis of how the email confirms greek campus life promotes rape culture.

But But, that is NOT what she meant at all. She just meant her sorority sisters were supposed to talk to their match up.

This article confirms her identity and that she’s out of the sorority.

She’s a drama queen for sure. I see a lot of humorous snark in her writing but she really had a major meltdown in that email. She’s probably not that bad in everyday life. Or maybe she is exactly like her writing? I hope not.
