soul meets soul on lovers' lips - a kissable MMP

Well, my universe is back in balance - we have ice cream! I just made a quick run to McKay’s while my bread was rising, and I think it’s in the bake mode now. Besides the few necessaries, **FCD ** asked me to bring him some fruit, so I splurged and got him some fresh pineapple chunks, some cut-up honeydew, and some marginally overpriced strawberries. Hey - he’s recuperating, so he’s entitled to some goodies.

Last time my sweetie used his blowtorch, he was melting the ends of some nylon straps so they wouldn’t fray. Before that, he had to solder the copper pipes leading to the outside faucet out front - the freeze-proof unit froze and split. My fault - I didn’t disconnect the hose… Anyway, it’s good now. But it’s *our * blowtorch.

Speaking of my sweetie, he’s crashed again. So are the critters. I’m the only non-napper in the bunch, and I’m the only one who’s done anything all day! Not a complaint, just a comment. Poor **FCD ** keeps apologizing for me having to do everything. Um, duh - spinal surgery! I keep reminding him that he’d do the same for me if the situation was reversed. Sometimes I think he likes to wallow in guilt. Sheesh…

Heh, all the fun I missed because I skipped a day of reading :stuck_out_tongue:

Tom? Dick!? Harry??? Those are all guys… Lies, I tell you, all lies. And I don’t know *any *ladies by the name of Jane around here, either.

You mean like LOUNE? :dubious: You seem not to have waited for anyone to leave him to you… you just took

Awww, OK, baby…

*Good morning starshine
The earth says hello
You twinkle above us
We twinkle below

Good morning starshine
You lead us along
My love and me as we sing
Our early morning singing song*

Sure, I’m up for a good mudfight. Haze, since it was your idea, I’m sure you’ll join me in the ring?

Yeah, could have been your boobs:smiley: (d & r)

Also, Olive is a beauty. Almost as lovely as the lady she now owns

**ems **-- great news about your father’s surgery! Speedy recovery! And Speedy recovery to FCD, too.

**bbs2k **-- I know where the blowtorch is, but I ain’t tellin’. You want it, come here and get it! :stuck_out_tongue: Also, in other news Go Sox!!!

Rigs, what happened at school?

(no)SnowBunny – you know Murphy’s law; the snow will start piling up the night before you need to go on a long drive, and not before that.

Hey, snowbunny, did you have to include that AWFUL photo of me? It makes me look fat and lazy, plus it makes my office look like a hopeless mess! Well, okay, it usually is, but did you have to advertise it to the world? :dubious:

But it’s great to finally see Oliver the Newfie! And all the other doggies I hear about. I refuse to discuss the GORGEOUS place you live, however. Color me hopelessly jealous!

ETA: SpecialOne, I know a guy who was in the original road production of Hair, and he actually named his daughter “Starshine.” I guess it could be worse. Pilot Inspektor Lee, anyone?

It was the best picture of Rusty I had, and it’s not that bad a picture of you. I know how you feel about pictures of you becaus I HAAAAATE pictures of me. So nyah. (But if you’re really unhappy, I’ll try to crop you out of it or something.)

Okay, okay, I looked a little more closely at it, and that is a pretty bad picture of you. But I can’t find a way to keep Rusty without having just the part of you you don’t want in it in it, so I took it down and I’ll put up another one of the Idiot.

He looks so ridiculously HAPPY, though!

Where did this blowtorch come from?

I’m sick. I want drugs, but I will settle for tea and sympathy. Or at least tea.

I did go to the farmer’s market this morning and got some green beans that were still in the field yesterday, some tomatoes, some asian pears and an aloe plant. I think I need to go to the store for ice cream.

Dunno, but I’m hanging on to it

I’m afraid the tea will get cold by the time it’s traveled over the Atlantic… so you’ll have to settle for sympathy this time. Or maybe some SypmaTea? {{{SCL}}}

:: hands SCL a hot mug of peach ginger tea with a heaping spoonful of sympathy ::

Peppermint tea for SCL, with buttered toast fingers to dip in it. That always makes me feel better.

MamaTigs, yes, do send me the zip file. My email’s in my profile. I have done some charting of my own patterns, but haven’t charted anyone else’s yet. I’m not sure how you would chart short rows, though. This pattern uses a slightly different method for short rowing, maybe I’ll have more success with them this time. Here is a link to my yarn purchases today. No more yarn until Stitches West in February! (Yeah, right.)

How about some fresh, warm applesauce cinnamon bread, right out of the machine? With butter. It’s yummerrific!!

Doncha wish you lived near me?

Drive-by post. Another attempted suicide last night; some lady took a metric buttload of valium, enough to kill a couple horses. The last I saw of her, she was spewing charcoal all over the ER.

If she made it, I’ll bet she had one muther of a hangover today.

:frowning:

what a simply marvelous day today was. Weather was perfect, even tho I was inside at rehearsal most of the day. The coach had many marvelous things to say to and about us. And her chorus, a multiple major award winner, has grown into the large chorus category, so that’s one less competitor for the mid sized medal! We stll have six months to get reday, and she’ll be back in January, so yay! Plus on the way home (after errands) I got some good shots of the house in the neighborhood that “dresses up” for Hallowe’en. I’ll post the pics (and link) in a few.
Yay for successful hospital visits

Font file is sent, Jahdra; I’ll warrant it’s safe, I got it from a reputable website – elann.com, if I’m not mistaken.

Thanks for taking down that ghastly picture of me, snowbunny. It’s not like it’s hard to find pictures of Rusty looking HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!, so if you find you don’t have a good one let me know and I’ll send you a selection.

Sorry you don’t feel well, SCL! I’d send you tea, but as my British friend (who’s lived in Canada for 30 years, but don’t ever call her Canadian!) taught me this past week in Oregon, if the water isn’t literally* boiling when you pour it over the tea, it’s not worth drinking. I doubt water would stay that hot shipping it via cyberspace, so I’m afraid you’re on your own! Feel better soon, though.

Next time I see you, FCM, I expect some yummy homemade bread! You’re torturing me with your descriptions!!!

ETA: Oops, couldn’t send out the file for some reason, Jahdra – your email provider called it an illegal attachment. I’ll see if I can find where I downloaded it from again and send you a link, how about?

ETA Again: Try this website for the font. That’s where I got it from after I found the link elsewhere.

BBBobbio, when you have an attempted suicide like that one, where the person has ingested a bunch of drugs, what do you do in the ambulance? Do you just give them a fast ride and let the ER give the charcoal, or is there a procedure you follow? This is assuming they aren’t showing any symptoms yet.

Thanks for the tea and sympathy, everyone. I am drinking YogiTea Women’s Moon Cycle tea - on top of the cold/sinus/allergy/whatever, Aunt Flo stopped by for a visit. Just three weeks after the last time she was here. Menopause is the frackin’ pits and I am very tired of it.

Forget ice cream - I want some cinnamon applesauce bread! That sounds so good! Maybe I’ll make some cinnamon toast to go with my tea. Not the same, but…

I don’t know what went on in back. I drove BOH for the hospital.

I still didn’t think it was quite as bad a picture as you thought, but whatever. It was bad, but I hadn’t really looked at you. I guess I’m a bit doggy-obsessed!

I must say I thought I got some really good pictures in there. Anybody who has ever tried taking pictures of animals knows how hard it is to get good ones!

I absolutely love the photo of “Waiting for Dad.” Which dog is that, anyway? Between that and Emily the bulldog, I can see why you have such a terrible time at work!

Speaking of which, **MamaTigs ** - The next show (Oct 27) runs 11-5, but I need to go the afternoon before to set up the canopy and shelves. I figure we need to be there by 9:30 at the latest to finish setting up. So, do you want to stay over on Friday night like last time?

Hallowe’en House and close up. The ghost in the [del]mine shaft[/del] crypt entrance moves up and down. This house looks even better at night when the lights really stand out - I’ll take one of those tomorrow evening

Cool house, Rosie!

And staying overnight again sounds good, FCM, if you don’t mind having me. I thought this time I might bring a small table, too, to display my wares on – I don’t want to trespass unnecessarily on your good graces in giving me shelf space. I’ll measure the table next time I go out to the shed, but it’s pretty small so should be useful.
