I kept laughing as more and more people joined in, then the camera pulled out and I caught my breath. Wow. There’s about 200 people dancing! Great post, thanks for sharing that!
Way too cool. Made me grin. Thanks for sharing!
There need to be more completely random mass displays of choreography in public places.
That looks like something Improv Everywhere would do. See, for example, the Food Court Musical. (The link on the IE site is broken.)
Homeland Security is not sure it approves.
I thought it was fantastic, but I was also envisioning myself, just barely on time for my train, trying to get through the station, and you run into this. What would you do? Cry? Dash through the middle of the troupe? Blow off the train and join in the dance?
Yeah, I thought of that too, but this is western Europe. The trains to Brussels are every fifteen minutes or so, and north to Holland once an hour, and the tickets are usually free-boarding for any train to your destination. (Admittedly not so for the HSTs, which serve Antwerp Central and are farthest from that concourse.)
Best thing about trains in these places: You never have to run for a train when they run 7 times an hour
I like the way they’ve staged it – participants just show up as if they’re onlookers…who then just suddenly decide to join in!
I like the two little old ladies – first the white-haired lady and then the black woman – who just dance on the sidelines.
And then, after four minutes of joyful silliness, it stops…and everyone disperses, it just dissolves back to normal. Too bad if you missed it. Had to be there! Everyone goes home and says, “You’re not gonna believe what happened at the train station today!”
Actually it’s a commercial for a reality TV show, yes?
Too fun.
This really cheered me up. I was looking at sample resumes and contemplating writing my own resume and the thought totally depressed me and now I feel better. Link forwarded.
I could totally see this happening in Union Station.
Homeland Security is the voice of the past. Maria is the voice of the future!
Let’s make that our next TronnaDope!
It’s a date! You bring the boombox, I’ll bring the moves.
Yup, that made me smile! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to actually stumble into the middle of something like that?
