Yes he did. This ep proved that Cartman isn’t evil. His mother’s lonliness and usage of Eric as a friend is what ruins him.
It’s the sound the dog trainer makes when gives these little disciplinary pinches to Cartman (pronounced more like a “ch” sound).
How does that prove that Cartman isn’t evil? He’s become evil because of his mother’s bad parenting and usage of him as a friend.
Did anyone catch the Saw reference right at the beginning? Cartman and his mom were in the principal’s office. Cartman had handcuffed some kid’s ankle to a flagpole, given him a hacksaw, and told him he had to saw off his leg to get to an anitdote to a poison Cartman had given him.
Cartman: I’m sorry I handcuffed Tommy’s* leg to the flagpole
Mr. McKey: Eric…
Cartman: {Sigh} I’m sorry I handcuffed Tommy’s leg to the flagpole and gave him a hacksaw so he could cut off his leg to get the antidote I told him he only had a short time to get.
I forgot the name and I’m paraphrasing.
I’m gonna dissent. I found it pretty “average” at best. The ending totally fell flat. The REAL Cartman would have horribly killed the dog whisperer somehow. Another cop-out.
Given that one of the boys has a Road Warrior movie poster on his wall, I’m guessing this is actually a Mad Max reference.
cop-out? Of what? They had a woman eating her own feces in it. They had a son plotting to kill his own mother and approaching her in her sleep with a knife. The whole point of the ep was that Cartman couldn’t deal with someone that was dominant. Not afraid of him not willing to bounce off of him or validate him in any way.
But Cartman mentioned poisoning his lunch and antidotes which is more from Saw and in the first Saw it was all about having to cut your foot off to escape. It’s pretty clearly a Saw reference then a Mad Max.
The most funny thing about this episode was that it was spot-on about Cesar Milan. Hilarious!
Or tricked him into eatting his parents.
Or chained his ankle to a fire hydrant and given him a hacksaw to get to the rabies vaccine.
It’s not at all possible that the dissenters are just upset because the bar has been set so high, is it? After all, Matt & Trey have been kicking out some top-notch stuff for a while. It’s iconic now and, accept it or not, it’s in the same stratosphere as the Simpsons, although it doesn’t have the longevity, at least not yet.
It’s almost to the point where people should start pushing these threads to the IMHO forum, because that’s what people end up bonking their heads over.
I never heard of this guy before, and I was expecting another ep I wouldn’t enjoy because of that (much like Gore saying ‘serial’, which I still don’t get). But I liked this episode, it was a funny concept with some funny results. Not the best IMHO, but solid.
I loved this episode, but I kept expecting Cartman’s mom to turn into her whorish self. Did I miss an episode where she is no longer sleeping with everyone?
The Al Gore episode is like the episode where the boys try to lose at Little League Baseball. It gets better with repeated viewings.
What? What’d I do?
I thought I was in America!
