Can’t help with the translation, but in reviewing the scene they’re saying, “Wir mussen de Juden auslassen.” Of course, a lot of it sounds like the old gag about what the German word for bra is: Stoppenfromfloppin. (Had a German roommate in college, told him that, and he hit the floor, nearly pissed himself he was laughing so hard.)
I was surprised that the actual Jesus didn’t show up. I mean, he lives right there in the town.
A little over the top but a good episode. I know it’s wrong, but I really thought the Jewish folks in the temple (and since when did SP get so many Jews? Why is Kyle so lonely at Christmas?) were hilarious with the voices and the kvetching.
Actually, Jesus was killed saving Santa from the Iraqis in Red Sleigh Down, I think.
True, but SP has been known to bring back the dead. And it would’ve been appropriate in this case.

Exactly- just sheer randomness on their part, which makes it all that much funnier, IMHO. SP’s non-sequitur bits are usually very amusing.
No, I didn’t notice until you said that, but it’s perfectly clear now. He does get tortured in his movies a lot. The scene from “The Patriot” where he ferociously hacks the guy up with an axe and is covered in blood also comes to mind, although that wasn’t his character getting tortured or killed in that instance.

Re: Mel Gibson and torture - he’s also sort of tortured in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome when he’s cast into the desert to die. Come to think of it, it’s not like nice things happen to him in Mad Max and Gallipoli either.
