Southern California Fire Thread

I thought I’d split this off from Snowboarder’s original thread.
As things progress in either region, we can update accordingly.
(Not that I don’t care about NoCal; my brother is up there. I just thought it might be easier for people in other regions to keep track.)

Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, Westlake Village, Agoura/Agoura Hills, Newbury Park, parts of Camarillo & Point Hueneme also affected. For some reason, the area is casually called the Central Coast but gets included in Southern California.

The portion of the fire that jumped across the 101 freeway is threatening a lot of farmland, orchards, vineyards, and film/TV locations (e.g. Paramount Ranch).

Also, a brush fire in northern San Diego County (Fallbrook & Oceanside areas) was mostly-contained as of the last article I saw this morning.

My new sig-line: Conditions in Paradise remain too unstable
Pulled from theLA Times article.

I feel like start an omnibus thread for California fires. :frowning:

I really hope people heed the evacuation orders down there. The roads can be very tricky. It would be very easy to get trapped with no way out.

Tell ya what, Sunny: I’ll start one with the new year and we can maybe do one per year.
