I just rewatched this outstanding police procedural series on Hulu, and am still just astounded by the consistent quality throughout its five seasons and gobsmacked by TNT’s decision to cancel it without explanation. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend doing so.
NBC cancelled it first. If anything you should be thankful TNT ever even bothered to pick it up. I can’t imagine it was ever a ratings powerhouse, and cop shows are a dime a dozen, no matter how you think it was quality wise, it’s not like it was gonna last 6 seasons and a movie, it was lucky to even get 5 seasons.
And yeah, I watched all of it when it was new… I think there were even a few threads about it around here somewhere, if we had a decent search function one might even be able to dig them up and put some comment about BRAINSSSSSSSS in them…
Of course it’s not 100% realistic but it was so much better than the hokey dialogue and overacting on shows like SVU.
