SPAM Revenge

I have good reason to suspect that an enemy of mine has registered my email address with some diabolical service that has suscribed me to every Spammer on the internet. While my ISP has a filter in place that catches about 80% of the spams, it doesn’t delete them from the server, which is OK I guess since there are some false positive hits. I still have to log onto the server daily to separate those out and trash the rest. Of the other 20% (false negatives) that get sent to my machine, my local filters get about half and the rest I have to manually delete. Counting all spams, I sometimes get as many as 200 per day. (I NEVER use any of the “unsubscribe” links which I understand only serve to confirm to the spammer that he has reached a valid address, whereupon it immediately goes on his list to sell as validated addresses.)

But I digress. Is there such a central subscription “service”? I feel a little revenge coming on. Please convey any specific information privately as I doubt it will last long in public (and probably shouldn’t.)

Chill out. I have the same problem and I don’t have any enemies

Oh, pretty please? I’m feeling particularly wicked today.

Can’t help you with the revenge thing, but I recommend POPFile to deal with the spam. Freeware!
