Fuck off!
I just checked my email, and I’ve got 30 spam messages in the past hour. THAT’S ONE EVERY TWO MINUTES. And these aren’t just text—nooooo-- you have to fill my inbox with attachments.
It was bad enough when you sent my girlfriend SO MANY FUCKING ATTACHMENTS THAT SHE CAN’T GET INTO HER INBOX.
She had to CALL the goddamn ISP and get them to bump up her capacity because you’ve sent so much shit to that they’ve shut her down. AND she had to go to a special webpage and do a whole bunch of file management crap deleting files that she can’t even read.
I dunno, but don’t you think that might be, oh, I dunno, a tad unproductive? To send so much shit that you make it impossible for people to even access their email?
Fuckers. If I ever meet anyone who admits to spamming, I will chop off your hands.
Why stop at hands? I’m sure there might be other appropriate appendages that could be removed as well…In fact, let’s cut off anything that protrudes more than a half inch from the trunk of the carcass…
I used to get a dozen or so a day… now I get over 100 some days. I think part of the reason is that I tried to ‘opt out’, and by following the links or emailing the requests, I actually got my name added to more list. Sucks.
I don’t think it actually helps, but you are supposed to be able to complain about actual abuse, such as scams, illegal activity, etc. to the FTC: uce@ftc.gov
Give it a try. Maybe if they are inundated with complaints they will do something.
I don’t see more than about 0.1% of my spam, thanks to Eudora’s capacity for allowing me to develop my own spam filters. OTOH, that’s about 6 messages per week, sometimes more, and then I have to make more spam filters, a never-ending process.
And thank god for DSL. I’d hate to have to download all this crappe via dialup modem connection in order to have access to the relatively rare authentic email message.
You know we’re paying for this somewhere, somehow. The overhead costs of spam to ISP’s servers must be enormous, and I don’t think they get kickbacks from the spammers. Where else they gonna recoup their investment overhead? You and me…
