Special thanks to Darwin's Finch, Colibri & Blake. Also, I got in!

Congratulations! Does this mean changes to your job search?

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate it.

No, it doesn’t (well, maybe a little, given my thread in IMHO). I still need a job for now until at least September, and one that carries past that and works with my school and research schedule would be ideal. Right now I’m trying to convince one of my favorite little shops nearby that they want to create a position for me, even though they aren’t currently hiring. We’ll see.

Congratulations! I was just wondering about this the other day.

And, for the record, my contributions were pretty minor; I’ve never actually gone to grad school myself :frowning:

Grad school or not, your contributions were most helpful. I really appreciate it.

Congratulations, BlueKangaroo! I’m glad to head that things are starting to work out. And I might be able to get you a lead on a temp agency. I’ll send a PM if it looks good. My husband just left them, so I’m not sure whether he’d recommend them to anyone. We’ll see…

Oh, and my spring break is coming up, and I have not forgotten the knitting lessons!

I recently found out that I was admitted to one of the two graduate schools of my choice this cycle, and I wanted to thank Darwin’s Finch, Blake and Colibri for agreeing to look over my candidate statement.

So, given the credentials of the abovenamed posters, I’m guessing the course you were admitted to wasn’t offered by the ICR???

Congratulations all the same Bluey.

Millit the Frail, all of that is greatly appreciated! I’m looking forward to the knitting lessons as well.

As for your guess, kambuckta, I tried to convince them to help me get in at ICR first, but they had some sort of problem with it. Wild, no? Eventually I settled for something a little more mainstream, and then they agreed to help.
