Why does “albedo” always throw a spell-check error? Is that the wrong spelting because it seems that’s the one everybody else uses.
[whimper] … what am I doing wrong ???

Works for me. Add it to your spell check dictionary.
just in case you didn’t know, the spell check is provided by whatever you use to post to the site, not the site itself.
I know the spelling dictionary in Firefox is often missing words that I would expect it to know. Quesadilla was one of them.
I assume your spelting is intentionally wrong.
Spelting and auto carrots aren’t done by the SDMB.

How often does albedo come up in daily conversation?
You’d be surprised. It’s my favorite word when referring to racial characteristics. Less emotional baggage.
You may not believe this but I cannot find the spell-checker in Firefox, didn’t it used to be in the File menu? Save the typing, I’m absolutely sure I don’t want to know. Better to be able to blame Firefox for all my misspeltening.
albedo

Spelt is a much sought grain in the health food aisle. It is almost as popular as flax.
I hear it all the time.
Wait. Or is that “libido”?
"Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do!"
And all this time I thought it was a kind of smallish fish.
That’s smelt. Which is also how you get steel, or what one does after having dealt.
Yeah, I hear that a lot from Trader Joe’s flax.
