Spending a week in Bellevue, WA

Wasn’t sure if this was a GQ or MPSIMS, so into MPSIMS it went. Correct if I’m wrong.

(Mind you, I already live in WA, just nowhere near Bellevue)I’m going to a college theatre conference in Bellvue, WA the third week of February, and was wondering if any of the locals can suggest good/CHEAP places for college students to eat. I’ve heard rumors of an All-You-Can-Eat sushi place - anyone familiar with this? Any help would be appreciated, by both myself, and my even-poorer-than-I-am students.

Dixie’s Barbecue

Tell them that you “want to meet the man.”

Well, darlin’, I’d say this calls for a DopeFest/UBFest.

What do you say? Does your schedule allow for a dinner Friday night? The 21st, if my calculations are correct?

The all you can eat sushi place in Bellevue, the Eating Factory, went out of business recently. :frowning:

Calculations are good - but unfortunately probably not a good time for a Fest. My college is unofficially co-sponsoring this thing, so I’m going to be busy all week.

That said, perhaps I should check my conference schedule when I get back to campus tomorrow and see…

If you want super good fairly cheap japanese food go to the Uwajimae (spelling) – its a japanese grocery store – in bellvue, it has a great restraunt attached to it.

THe Rock Bottom Brewery has really good beer.

Okay, hon…well, I actually have some issues going on in my life right now, otherwise I would be going to Dallas for the annual birthday fest with Grace…but I thought since it was so close we might be able to get together.

Sometime soon, though, okay?

Cheap, good, all-you-can-eat sushi’s tough.

The Eating Factory closed-- -we looked for it-- but there’s always Todai’s in Redmond. All-you-can-eat sushi, sashimi, and crab legs, with other Japanese fare (chicken teriyaki, gyoza, rice and fried rice, miso soup, etc.) and a humongous dessert section. It’s about $23 per person, though.

Uwajimaya might be your best bet.

CRorex, AudreyK - thanks for the reminder on Uwajimaya - is there more than one location? I’m only familiar with the one in the International District.

There is one in Bellevue. Check www.uwajimaya.com. (Pardon my laziness; ordinarily I’d check forya, but I’m about to turn in.)
