Spending Thanksgiving with the (Corleone) family

My friend Ed and I traditionally spend holidays hanging out and watching movies. This year we came across AMC’s Godfather marathon, and caught a couple of chunks of G2 in between cooking and eating, then “The Godfather” in its entirety.

Goddamn those movies hold up.

Anyone else skip parades and football to watch a movie on T’giving? What did you watch this year?

And here I thought this was going to be a thread on what the Corleones would eat and drink on Thanksgiving…

Didn’t see The Godfather, but went last night with some of our younger houseguests to see The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which we enjoyed.

We watched Lincoln. Which is only appropriate, since Thanksgiving is his fault.

I had the tv muted, but apparently Black Friday was important enough for Brian Williams to start off his news show with- he even interviewed some lesser news guy out in the cold. It was probably the exact same report as last year, and the year before that.

We just watched Mamma Mia. That was fun.

Pacific Rim, 13 Assassins, and Tucker and Dale Versus Evil for Shoujin and I.

We watched the parade and then the National Dog Show. Then part of the Harry Potter marathon and then the Lady Gaga and the Muppets special. Not a football game in sight.
