Spider-Man 2: in Lego!

I did a search and didn’t find any references to this, so in case anybody hasn’t seen this yet, here you go: link

Pretty cool.

That elephant was priceless.

That was awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Must’ve taken them forever though. I’m always amazed by people with that kind of patience.

Amazing!!!

I used to have Legos, but it never crossed my mind to do anything like that.

Oh well, I just would have gotten mad and broke it.

Remember Spider-man? Well he’s back…in Lego form!

That’s hysterical. I really like the way Doc Ock’s expression kept changing, Hexadecimal style. The bit about reading a newspaper while bashing Spidey around cracked me right up.

And considering the animator must have started before the movie was released, his version of the train fight was pretty close. I guess he worked as much as he could from the trailers and filled in the blanks.

I think Lego commissioned the film and they had access to the scripts and photos in order to make the toys, so I’m sure they passed it along. This is the same group responsible for Star Wars: The Han Solo Project.

Sorry, that’s The Han Solo Affair, and it’s made by the folks at www.spiteyourface.com who also created the Monty Python Camelot short film.

Incidentally, I don’t think this is made from stop-motion of real Lego pieces. There’s a computer program out there (available for home users, even!) for making this sort of movie starring Lego toys. All computer-generated.

But that doesn’t make this any less cool, of course.

A lot of the effects were CG (sun flares, blurs, etc) but the toys themselves were from the Lego sets
