Does anyone know of a good site with pictures of spiders to help identify some that we have in our back yard? I have done a yahoo and google search and not had much luck. If we have any arachnid experts here, it is:
Size - including abdomen: Approx 1/3 - 1/2 inch) Kinda small “spikes” on the abdomen. Kind of greyish/brown body with darker brown stripes on the body and legs. On the underside of the abdomen there is a small, almost hourglass, shape (no, its not a widow) very, very dark almost black.
These suckers are attached to our deck and the side of the house. We live in Alberta, Canada… North Central part of the province, if that helps.
