Spike's resurrection on "Angel"... let the speculation begin

I missed that article pepperlandgirl, thanks

mmm… Lorne…

Actually, before I found out JM was joining the cast as a regular, I thought Andy Hallet was the second hottest male in the L.A. section of the Buffyverse- right behind Alexis Denisof. Now, I guess he’ll have to settle for third place.

Damn those American guys with their sexy fake British accents and well-muscled bods…

I see Spike coming back as a human. As his reward for sacrificing himself selflessly, he’ll have a recurring role in his favorite daytime drama “Passions”. Like Joey (“Friends”) does on “Days of Our Lives”.

Fairy, that was just nasty.

What we know about Spike is that he is, at heart, a nice guy. He’s ruthless, but he’s generally nice with the people’s he around, (and when he was evil he just killed them when he got bored).

He’s also a guy who needs to have a goal. When he was William, he was pursuing love and taking care of him mum. When he first became a vampire, he still wanted to take care of his mum, until he had to kill her, and then being rejected he almost immediately decided to become the best damn vampire out there by taking out Slayers.

When he got a chip, he kept trying to weasel his way out of it until he realized he couldn’t. Then he found love again with Buffy, and figured out he needed a soul. And once with the soul, he finally figured out how to love B.

Figure out his motivation, and you’ll figure out how he’ll come back. If ME wants Spike to do bigger and better things, he’ll come back with superstrength (maybe anti-demon powers instead of being a vamp) and work for the PTB. If ME decides that Spike gets the “reward” of being human, he’ll come back that way and struggle through that.
