Spirit and Titanic

Am I the only one who is reminded of Titanic when watching Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron? Spirit is wild and goes from place to place, living off what he can by being sly and tricky. He’s a carefree kinda guy with a poor background. Sound familiar?

Rain is from the upperclass of society, she’s been spoiled and has lived her life being very proper. Uncanny, right?

Now Spirit meets Rain and immediately begins to teach her and show her about how fun and carefree life can be if she lets go of her old lifestyle and joins him. Sounds a bit like Jack and Rose, huh? They fall in love and blah blah blah.

So like I said, aside from the rest of the storyline, I thinks the character’s personalities and backgrounds are uncanny.

Rich girl falls for poor boy is a pretty common story. You got find lots of examples besides those two: Aladdin, Antz, Dirty Dancing, Heathers, Lady and the Tramp, The Notebook, Notting Hill, Overboard, Pirates of the Caribbean, Say Anything, Some Kind of Wonderful.

The main reason I found it interesting is because they didn’t have any dialogue. But I haven’t seen all of those so maybe there are other ones that don’t have dialogue.
