Hmmm…yes. But those agricultural areas of the state are red, red, red :smiley:. As Randall Munroe cogently pointed out there were more Trump voters in California than in Texas.

Not really. There are a some districts in the Central/San Joaquin valley region that are red, but more of them are blue. The reddest districts are more in the non-arable rural parts of the state (mostly desert).

I guess when I think agriculture I always think Central Valley, which other than around Fresno is pretty red. But you’ve got a good point - I was ignoring wine country and the coastal fields. Though in 2020 it looks like the geographic bastion was the rural north/northeast (though Inyo county with its massive 9,000+ votes was pretty damn close).
