(Spoilers) Firefly Film Festival #9: "Ariel"

Sorry to bump an older thread but I’ve only just watched Firefly and there’s no better place to say this:

the one thing that bugs me about the show is that apparantly medical technology hasn’t advanced at all in the future! Fair enough when they’re on border moons but in a modern hospital on a core world the only thing that they had we don’t have these days was the scanner.

There was even an IMED machine beside the bed of that guy who had the cardiac arrest – that’s the medical equivalent of them trying to pass off a flying Winnebago as a spaceship with no trimmings added and the wheels still on. We even have more advanced pumps than IMED’s these days that are just a little more expensive and new.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Other than that I loved the episode!

We can only assume that Retro is the word of the day in technology on Osiris. Kinda like how you can find CD players that come in phonograph-esque cabinets. :slight_smile:
