I’d have thought the easiest explainable answer is that it is a living human person, identity unknown, wearing clothes of some sort and equipped with a face and one or more hands.

The CNN story made a big deal about how the face looked so much whiter than the hand… but it just looks like the hand is more in the shadow of the doorway.
“Robes?” Looks like a coat I have (thick collar and sleeves rolled back). Maybe a staff remember had a guest pop by.
Nothing supernatural-looking to me.

I don’t know if it’s a ghost, but just to be safe we’re sending the Mystery Machine over to England along with Velma, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and of course Scooby Doo. It’s probably going to turn out to be some guy in a rubber mask who has a plan for making money off of the property by scaring off the rightful owners.
The photo looks like it is just a prank of some sort…now, if they had some of the CCTV video, not just the stills…
If they are only willing to releaseon single still from the CCTV camera, then chances are someone is just looking to drum up some tourist revenue.

It’s England. You get ghosts in the mail with samples of Tide. They’re issued. I’d be disappointed if they DIDN’T have ghosts.
I went to England a few years back and toured the Tower of London, which RAWKED hardcore! I did not feel a presence or anything but I felt the “age” of the place. Westminster, too. I touched some of the tombs (a big no-no but oh well) but no ghosts lingering near. It’s hard to say what the picture really is, fun to speculate on though.
