Anyone out there into baseball or other sports cards? I was as a kid, and have recently looked at my collection. Now, looking on ebay, there seems to be some grading system I never heard of–marked “PSA”. People are paying crazy high prices for cards that have PSA 9 or 10. How can I get mine graded? where? who? Help!
I had cards as a kid, but I know they aren’t worth too much because by the time I started collecting, there were too many cards (ie, the supply had increased dramatically).
I’m afraid I can’t help re grading, but I can’t imagine it would be too hard to find info on the web or from a sports collectibles shop.
I’ve used Beckett’s grading service. They don’t require a “membership fee”. The fee you pay is based the amount of time you can wait to get the card back. They are tough, however!! I had a 1982 Topps Traded Cal Ripken which, in mint condition, could be worth as much as $300 or so. Mine, which I thought was pretty good, came back as a 6.5!! Go to their website and check into it.
However much Becketts or any other Collectible service says anything is worth…It ain’t worth nothing unless you can find someone to pay the price.
