For me, football (CFL and NFL) and baseball are favourites. I don’t care much for basketball, soccer, or tennis. Golf on TV is great, but if I’ve got better things to do, I’ll do them.
And then, there is hockey, with which I have a love-hate relationship. I love it, because it is a fast and exciting sport; and when play stops, it’s never for very long before the action starts again. I hate it because it is assumed that Canadians would rather watch hockey than anything else; and so every sports channel, sports bar, and sports section in the newspaper gives pride-of-place to hockey, nine months out of the year. No, I’m a sports fan, not a fan of one sport.
