Oh, my gosh, is she named after a character in Firefly? My son and his wife adopted an old dog and named her Nandi. All their adoptees are named after Firefly characters. Their first dog was Jayne. I always wanted to knit him a hat.

We call them “Manson eyes.” My DIL called the eyes of a dog on the shelter site that. Specifically, she said, “Who’d adopt a dog who has Manson eyes?” A: They would. His name is Mister Universe.
