Spot the outlier -- silly game

Tony Iommi
Martin Barre
Phil Collins
Roger Glover

Right idea, wrong person. Harpo Marx never spoke on film[sup]*[/sup], the others all did.

  • There is some debate on this. In one of their films, the four of them are hiding in barrels and singing. There are definitely four voices. No one seems to know if it was Harpo singing. In any case, he was not really on film at the time.

That’s where I got the idea. I even sent my questions in (plus a few more) but he never used them.

But he was caught speaking on film in the premier for “The Great Ziegfeld”.

That’s news to me. When I originally researched this question I didn’t find that.

I think Tony Iommi is the only one without any vocalist or backing vocalist credits on an album.

I picked Iommi too, but with the reasoning that he is the only one that was a founding member of his band. All the others joined after their associated band had already released at least one album.

Or maybe it’s Phil Collins. All the others were in bands with a 2 word name.

SHoot… I spent a long time trying to get this right, and I still messed up!

You are correct, certainly. WHite is the only one not in the Hall of Fame.

I was looking for Csonka, as he was the only one who never led the NFL in rushing.

Formulating these questions is tricky.

Asia
Bad Company
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Foghat

Foghat - the other 3 all contain a former member of King Crimson.

Tony Iommi
Martin Barre
Phil Collins
Roger Glover

Actually, it’s Roger Glover, but the others can certainly be correct.

We could categorize this question as ‘unreasonably obscure’.

The answer is Roger Glover. He was the only one to have never played a gig with Jethro Tull.

More specifically, all three were founded by a former bassist and vocalist of King Crimson.

Well done.
