The "add a group" people exclusion thread game

Inspired by the “add a rule” word thread.

I start by naming a person, then add a group that excludes them. The second poster names another person that fits in the first group, but is excluded in the second group that is named by the poster, and so on and so on., To start:

Elton John

The person cannot be openly gay.

Billy Joel

The person cannot be openly gay.
Cannot have a surname longer than 4 letters

You are supposed to pick a category that excludes your choice. “Joel” has four letters.

To put it right:

The person cannot be openly gay.
The surname must contain at least five letters
