Spots on a cat

My 16-year-old cat has always had a small, light spot on one of his ears, sort of like a droplet of milk landed there. Lately, I’ve noticed that the spot has grown, and now there’s one on his other ear. Should I be concerned about this, or is it just an old-age thing, similar to the way older humans acquire more spots?

hmm, I’d take him to the vet …

Well, if he doesn’t have any lumps or bumps on his ears, and he seems pretty normal in all other respects, I wouldn’t worry about it. Elderly cats can get gray or white patches on their ears and faces, just as humans get gray hair. Usually, you get more of a salt-and-pepper effect, but they can get patches, too. If the skin underneath looks and feels normal to you, I’d just mention it to the vet next time you happen to be in.

Oh, he is, is he? Cheeky little mutt…

Hope your cat’s okay, btw
