Sprite Remix - aka Sprite "Nasty 'N Vile"

I like Pepsi Blue better than any other soda on the market.

What?

Anybody tried 7-upsidedown?

It’s green and fruity flavored. And leaves a blue foodcolor residue on styrofoam cup lids.

Yum. More artificial coloring!!

And now I HAVE to try Sprite Remix. I’ve been told it tastes of apricot.

My normal soda flavor? Peach. Peach Crush or Big Peach or Kroger/Generic…i’m just a peachy kinda gal.

My 12-year-old son loves this junk. Every other member of the family (including his 14-year-old sister) thinks it tastes like camel vomit.

So looks like the Sprite folks hit their desired demographic precisely.

Haven’t had Sprite Remix yet, although I’m sure I’ll eventually try it and hate it.

Mountain Dew Livewire tasted to me like melted orange Life Savers or popsicles. It was not refreshing like regular Mountain Dew (which I love); I got the impression that the more Livewire I drank, the thirstier I would get. I love orange sodas too, but I don’t intend to try this again.

I couldn’t stand Pepsi Blue from the one time I tried it. Gag-worthy.

I’ve ordered “real” vanilla Cokes at restaurants and soda fountains my entire life, so I was very excited about Vanilla Coke when it debuted last summer. However, I just drank too many of them, and now I’ve backed off. I always feel like it’s going to give me acid reflux now.

Hmmm, “Sprite Reflux”? Maybe I’m onto something…

So much hatred! Personally, I love Sprite Remix. Finally a formula that makes some sense. Lemon-lime soda + more fruity flavors. Seems reasonable. Moreso than, say, cherry Dr. Pepper or blueberry Pepsi.

Actually, Pepsi Blue isn’t bad, but it tastes too much like a melted Slurpee to drink regular quantities of the stuff.

And, let us speak no more of the evil that is Vanilla Coke. Shudder.

I tasted this and didn’t like it, but that’s unusual as I usually like most of the new sodas. I was so happy to see that Coke has started making diet cherry coke and diet vanilla coke. Also, diet Mountain dew Code Red rocks my world. If only Pepsi would make diet blue pepsi, I would be in Heaven.

I have also been wishing for diet 7-upside down, because the new 7up is caffinated, unlike its regular counterpart.

cherry dr. pepper = good.

Tried Sprite Remix the other day – while I’ll drink it if it’s the only stuff available on a deserted island, I doubt I’ll be buying it with my own money. That first taste catches you by surprise, and in a bad way.

And to mostly-agree with jinwicked, Mountain Dew Code Red kicks major ass.

What’s Pepsi Blue taste like?

Sprite Remix is the worst idea since Orange Coke…okay, so there was never was Orange Coke. Yes, it’s horrible, though I still think Diet Coke is the worst tasting soda ever.

Okay, I love Sprite Remix. I also love Cherry 7-Up. Yum.

 Where!?

Take some blue cotton candy and melt it down. Now add a pound of sugar and you are basically in the same neighborhood.

Amp - who liked Vanilla Coke but hated Pepsi Blue and Sprite Remix

People, people, people. Refuse to be brainwashed by the ad agencies. Drink water. It’s essentially free, tastes good, and is good for you. It does not fatten you up with a bunch of sugary empty calories, it does not rot your teeth, it does not pump you full of unnatural chemicals.

If you can just replace the image programmed into your subconscious by the endless parade of commercials that soda is boss, it won’t be the boss of you anymore.

OTOH, if nobody can break this mental conditioning, perhaps I should repurchase those shares of KO I sold recently.

No caffeine. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt!

As far as I know, neither does Sprite.

That can be fixed, you know.

I think it’s the clear bottle that’s messing with people…
Medicinal- I think the clear bottle makes you think it, and therefore taste it.

When I tried it, it tasted like a diet soda, mostly because of the white label, and again, the clear bottle (had the whole discussion over lunch) I thought it looked diet and I was tasting it as such.

I had to let go of my preconceptions and then I could experience the taste for what it really is:

Sugar.
I like pepsi blue

I really liked crystal pepsi
I hope they bring that back.

cherry Dr. Pepper = Red Fusion, which I like the most.

I can drink Code Red or Livewire Mt Dew, or failing that- Vanilla Coke, but I can’t abide Pepsi Blew at all!

Right now tho, real sodas are few & far between as I’m working at losing weight (and succeeding- 30 lbs in four months so far!)- so I mainly drink Sam’s Choice Carbonated Flavored Water (Raspberry, Apple Berry, Lime & Black Cherry- hmmmmm!)

Okay, is it just possible that people like soda? That they haven’t been brainwashed by anyone, but like the way it tastes? Or are you just being condescending to all of the people in this thread who are clearly too stupid to be aware of the contents and effects of soda? I enjoy cola. I like the way it tastes. It is not all I drink, but I like it enough to drink it often. I’m aware of what’s in it.

Do you post in other threads like this? Make sure everyone’s aware of the effects of smoking? Drinking alcohol? Eating Big Macs? Do you remind everyone that people that Star Wars is just a movie and that Order of the Phoenix is just a children’s book?

Hope I didn’t interrupt you on your mission of keeping the ignorant masses informed. Carry on.

:smack:

Yeah, that stuff is good. Same with Pepsi Blue. Along this vein, am I the only one who primarily uses Sonic for their capacity to act as a soda fountain, mixing up drinks however you like (such as Vanilla Coke before they bottled it, cherry-vanilla Dr Pepper, etc.)?
