All these new-fangled sodas!

So…who likes em? I am, of course, referring to both Mountain Dew Livewire (available only for summer 2003) and Sprite Remix (which will last until they stop making it, I assume.)

First off, Livewire
Here’s my theory-
The packers at the ol’ Pepsi bottling plant found an bunch of old cases of Slice that were left over from a few years ago. Throwing them away would be a waste of money, so they put it in a new bottle, label it Mountain Dew Livewire, and make it available for only the summer, as to explain how it will go away so quick.
Seriously, that’s what it tastes like. Year-old, flat, nasty Slice. Avoid at all costs, worse than both regular and Code Red versions of Mountain Dew.

Sprite Remix: Umm…weird.
It doesn’t taste too bad, but just weird. It has a hint of coconut, I think. Perhaps if one were to mix it with Malibu, or another coconut rum, it would taste very good…perhaps.

Of course, they still make Orange Slice, don’t they? I could have sworn I saw that tonight.

I’m drinking a Live Wire right now. It’s just orange soda. Eh.

I tried Sprite Ice a couple of days ago. In fact, I have the unfinished bottle beside me. That’s how tasty it is. It combines the refreshing properties of Sprite and mouthwash simultaneously.

Anyone want some?

You know, I really don’t want any of my sodas fangled.

At least it’s not like the New Coke fiasco of a couple of decades ago. These aren’t replacing anything, just a new addition or two.

That being said, all I’ve tried is Fusion.

Lucky for me, my gag reflex was working and I wasn’t poisoned too badly.

Yes, they still make Slice, and Livewire is orange soda, just gone bad. (Of course, I also hate Slice, give me Crush if Im going to drink orange.)

I think Pepsi Blue is the best of the bunch. I don’t care what anyone says, that stuff is the sweer nectar of the Gods.

And in keeping with the Greek mythology of it all, I plan on going mad when it is taken away from me. Hopefully, some fable will be made about the incident to serve as a cautionary reminder that people should stay away from fusions of psuedoberries and colas.

I like Dr Pepper’s Red Fusion but that’s about it.

Dr. Pepper’s Red Fusion is incredible, like the sweet nectar of the Great Old Ones.

I’ll take Pepsi Twist and Code Red Mt. Dew, but the rest of those fangled sodas can be darned. Not that I drink any of them all that frequently anyway. Have you ever taken a look at the sugar content on some of these new things?! :eek:

I have forced myself not to get too attached to any “new” sodas ever since they got me hooked on Surge and then yanked it away. Somewhere in my house, there is an unopened can. When I find it. . .oh happy day. I understand some people didn’t like it. That sucks.

I can’t stand orange soda, so I’ll be staying away from the Livewire, and the Remix sounds interesting…coconut soda? Hmmm…

I have to admit that I’m addicted to Diet Code Red Mountain Dew. It’s yummy - and it tastes more like the regular stuff than any other diet - I won’t drink any diet sodas except this one.

Nearly none of the new sodas come in diet…not even Pepsi Blue, which has been out for over a year.

That means that my diabetic ass doesn’t get to try any new sodas and has to stick with either diet coke or seltzer water.

…and I love fruity sodas, too…

I’m drinking the Sprite Remix right now. It’s not heavy on the coconut, but I can definitely see that flavor in there. It’s interesting, pretty decent. I’ve had it twice now.

I gave up most of my caffeine intake for New Year’s (I now only drink perhaps a few cups of green tea per week), so I can’t try the Livewire - but now that I hear it’s just orange soda, no big deal.

Troub, are you kidding? Surge tasted like dishwater.

All of the new sodas are pretty nasty. Me, I’m sticking with Canfields Diet Fudge, the most horrible beverage ever conceived.

Surge isn’t made any more? That kinda sucks. That stuff was much better than shitty Mountain Dew.

Pepsi Blue, I believe is destined for the dustbin. I just haven’t met many that didn’t hate it. Vanilla Coke’s great, and I believe here to stay.

Do they still make Mountain Dew Anal Explosion? I know that the soft drinks with semi-solid chunks never caught on here the way they did in Japan, but I had high hopes for this one.

I tried a Sprite Ice the other day and couldn’t really describe the taste to anyone. Then I was brushing my teeth in the shower that night and it came to me… It’s Sprite with mouthwash in it!

Jolt is still around. In fact, they now have non-cola flavors (one tastes like mountain dew, and I think there is an orange flavor.) Not to mention the fact that they now have two or three colas with even MORE caffine than the original had.
