LIB!
I haven’t seen it here in the OKC for a coon’s age. I’ll do a search and see who markets it here. Thanks for the heads up.

Mt. Dew Livewire tastes like Orange Slice soda with a fruity aftertaste…artificial watermelon perhaps? Regardless, I think it tastes pretty good. I also LOVE Mt. Dew Code Red (wine cooler), and Pepsi Blue (umm…blue). I HATE the cola+lemon combinations, and Vanilla Coke really only tastes good for the first sip.
Oh EUUUEEWWW!! Eternal… did you have a horrible childhood accident involving a flag pole, at below zero degrees F, and your tongue?
That stuff tastes like sweetened antifreeze, with a few lackluster flattened bubbles thrown in for good measure.
Eeeuuuwwww. I like putting lemon in Coke, so I had high hopes for Lemon Coke.
Remember those lemony “moist towelettes” they used to give you at KFC (back when they actually used the word “Fried”)? Lemon Coke tastes the way those things smelled.
I haven’t tried many of the new ones, mainly because one of our local stores has a huge soda aisle with all sorts of small small brands (like Jones soda) and the like, so when the missus and i hit the store we sample a new type… one of my faves was the coconut cream soda, and the extra hot ginger ale from germany.
I liken Lemon Coke to Theraflu. Freakin’ nasty.
The new Sprite tastes a bit sweeter than the carbonated water that you can get at Wal-Mart for much cheaper.
I love Vanilla Coke. Best damn new soda ever made. Pepsi Blue is just WAY too sweet for me (even though Vanilla Coke is also very sweet)…Pepsi Blue tastes like this: Someone took blue raspberry gummi candy and melted it down…then added carbonation. I love blue raspberry gummi candy…but not in liquid form.
Code Red is pretty cool…tastes like carbonated party punch. I honestly noticed no difference in the tastes of Fusion and regular Dr. Pepper…I pretty much wrote of Dr P Fusion as red Dr. Pepper.
Absolutely everyone at my school drinks Sprite Remix. Why? Because it’s 50 cents a bottle, compared to 55 cents for a can of anything else.
Yeah, the vending machines are messed up.
Also, nearly everyone tries to make it go flat before they drink it, so I guess it’s got too much carbonation or something. I don’t drink soda, personally, so I don’t really know.
I’ve tried Pepsi Blue. I’ve tried Dr.Pepper Red Fusion. I’ve tried dNl. I’ve even tried Sprite Remix and Pepsi Twist. The only two out of the bunch I can really even stand are dNl and Pepsi Twist. THe others can go to Soda Hell for all I care.
Pepsi Blue I liken to some nasty ‘blueberry’ flavored coughsyrup I was given as a child.
Dr.Pepper Red Fusion…I don’t want to know what it’s fused with if it tastest THIS bad.
Sprite Remix was ok but not ok enough for me to want to drink it more than once.
Have not yet tried the Mt.Dew LiveWire! but I’m sure I will soon. It looked like irradiated orange juice, tbh when I saw in the store this morning.
And it probably tastes like carbonated TAMPICO, which is the worst orange/citrus drink ever invented.

Albeit extremely hard to find in my neck of the woods. I’ve had no luck thus far.
My personal Favorites:
Code Red and Vanilla Coke. There are no sodas that i dislike except root beer. I really dont like rootbeer.
I liked LiveWire alot…it had a sort of twist to it.
Sprite Remix i like alot too…
I only drink one soda - Diet Pepsi. But my SO tries all the new-fangled ones. He likes the Livewire - why would they make it only available this summer? If it sells well will they continue to make it?
He must not like the “Fruit Flavored Blast” of the caffeinated 7UP (the kind with the can printed upside down) because I notice there is a lot of that left in the fridge.
bouv, I’m so glad you mentioned Jolt! Best…Pop…Ever.
You can still find it at some gas stations around NY and PA.
What I really miss is Moxy. Sure, it tasted like medecine, but it was GOOD. We loved it as kids. From what I understand, it’s an older soft drink, but we still managed to find it. Haven’t seen any for a long time though.
As to the OP, I like Code Red Mt. Dew. I always liked mixing Hawaiian Punch with Dew anyway. They just made it easy for me. The Livewire sounds gross, though. Vanilla Coke is great. Old soda fountain drink in a new bottle. Yay!
Moxie still exists. And it’s still the most vile substance ever approved for human consumption.
As for Sprite Remix, it’s just blue raspberry Sprite. At least, that was my first impression, and was confirmed by my friend’s mother, who works in R&D as a food scientist.
Jolt is still sold in several places in GA.
My all time fav that disappeared was Cheerwine…apparently not well known, but it was around in the early 90’s and then just disappeared…good stuff.
I don’t like anything Pepsi, the Vanilla Coke is good…most of the rest freak me out on principle.
Kinda like a mad scientist. What happens when you mix Sprite with hummingbird syrup?
Jaade, Cheerwine’s still around, at least here in N.C.
DnL…good stuff, actually. I don’t know if it has been shipped everywhere, but we have it here in Cincinnati. It doesn’t seem to have done very well, but I love the stuff. 2 for a buck at Meijer, can’t beat that.
Wow - I didn’t know half these pops existed. I’ve only tried Vanilla Coke and Pepsi Blue so far. Vanilla Coke was good, but I prefer regular. Pepsi Blue was just… Nasty. Looked and smelled like windex, with a fairly disgusting acidy-sweet taste.
I think I’ll be sticking with Diet Sierra Mist though… It’s the only thing that tastes like Sprite in diet form, that I’ve seen anyways.
