have you guys tried or even seen commercials for Mountain Dew’s new soda “LiveWire”? I tried it a couple of days ago and it is really good! i also like code red alot. actually, all of the mountain dews are really good. but i was watching the LiveWire commercial and it said that it would only be sold this summer. WHY?? if it is good soda, why only sell it for a summer? that’s just plain stupid.

now my second question: what is your favorite NON-DIET soda?

i think mine is mountain dew code red or Vanilla Coke.

It’s a common marketing ploy these days. “For a limited time” hypes the sales just a bit, and they can always bring it back next summer.

Favorite soda: Adirondack Orange Citrus Frost.

My favorite soda is unquestionably Code Red. And I’m totally looking forwrd to trying the new Live Wire. I love Mountain Dew, although I’m currently getting by on the Sam’s Choice knockoff, Mountain Lightning, cuz I’m one broke SOB.

I was disappointed in Livewire. When I first heard about it I was excited because I recognised that if you took regular Mt. Dew and added just a TOUCH more orange/tangerine type flavor it, it would be awesome. That’s what I get for anticipating subtlety from a soft drink manufacturer, Livewire is basically orange soda with perhaps a dash of regular Mt. Dew. Not bad… but not what I was expecting either.

I suspect they’re marketing it only during the summer, as above posters have mentioned, to raise hype. Also, it’s probably a trial production run – if it takes off, I imagine sales will extend beyond the summer.

I’m offended by your second question; why “non-diet”? My answer is probably (Diet) Vanilla Coke, but I’ve also had the good fortune of trying Sprite Ice once. What is that, you may ask? It’s Sprite combined with mint flavoring. It’s quite good, I think, although very reminiscent of chewing gum. Sadly, it’s only available in Canada and Belgium.

Vanillia Coke rocks. Let’s all give our thanks for limited edition white chocolate Kit-Kats and Reeses PB cups.

i liked LiveWire alot and hope that it continues selling. Mt. Dew has created some of the best sodas

What ** lokij ** said. I like the Livewire and all, but it just tastes like regular orange soda. Except with lots of caffeine.

I LOVE the Sprite Remix. It’s one of the best among the new sodas that have come out, IMO.

what would be a perfect soda? i think code red without caffeine. caffeine free sodas dont taste any different to me…and they are better cause i can drink them late night

My fave non-diet soda is CocaCola. I also like Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry Soda.

But I do have a question. What the hell is Dr. Pepper? It’s not root beer, is it? Cuz I have both Dr. Pepper & A & W Root Beer in the fridge and they do not taste alike.

I also think root beer tastes like Vick’s Vaporub mixed in with Coke.

Dr. Pepper used to be my favorite drink but then i drank TOO much. i think it is cinnamon…mixed with something?

ive also never been a fan of root beer

While nobody knows whats in Dr. Pepper, it is the oldest softdrink and was first made in Waco Texas in 1885.
