We have squirrels, what look to me like Eastern Gray squirrels, living in our porch roof. We have called Critter Control, and they have set some traps for the squirrels. I’ve got a couple of questions about the squirrels, though.
Do Eastern Gray squirrels tend to have several adult squirrels living together in a nest? Or would multiple squirrels make nests in different parts of our porch roof? From what I read about them online, I thought they were territorial and that adults would not nest together. But the critter people have caught two of what appear to be adult squirrels, so far.
The critter guys were here to set the traps last week. They didn’t catch any squirrels until Monday. Is that likely to be because it was too hot last week and this weekend for the squirrels to be active? We were surprised to see the traps catch squirrels after several days of no apparent activity.
There is some way that they can make sure there isn’t a nest of baby squirrels in our roof, other than closing it up and waiting for us to call about the smell of dead baby squirrels, right?
