They certainly do get around. They’re in Madrid, Dublin and Glasgow. I’ve seen the sign numerous times for St. Valentine’s bones in Dublin but I’ve never bothered to go see what the fuss is about.
Relics fascinate me; while I certainly see the appeal of “here’s a piece of a holy person who was as real as you or me, and yes, you may look upon it for potential blessings”, there’s also the problem of when the practice indicates that certain saints had more than the usual number of fingers or foreskins.
