Another riveting GQ thread coming up.
I have a large bare (distressed?) pine table and six chairs, which I am hoping to sell. There are some stains on the table - nothing huge, just ring marks and some grease stains. Before I advertise it for sale, I would like to remove the stains if it’s not too laborious a task. Any ideas how I can go about this - would steel wool followed by waxing do the trick? Bear in mind that I’m a complete novice and any treatment that involves a risk of ruining the table probably isn’t worth the grief.
