"Standing On The Dock At Southampton...."

No, it wasn’t the first sentence in the novel Night Over Water, but it was the second, and it makes me wonder if Ken Follett had an admiration for The Beatles or John Lennon.

The Ballad Of John And Yoko is a rocking little number in my opinion, and if Mr. Follett wants to use a line of it in his novel, then it is, by God, all right with me! I just would like to know if that line was a tribute to John and The Beatles.
