Even though I hate the name “Mighty Ducks”, I’m rooting for them because I am sick of the same damn teams winning the Stanley Cup all the time. 4 teams have won the Cup in the last 8 years. In that same time period, 7 teams have won the Super Bowl. The NHL seriously needs to work on parity during the labor dispute.
Oh and Scott Stevens is scum. How many guys is that now that he’s taken out? How about the Carolina guys he blew up in the waning seconds of games that were decided in the playoff series they lost?
The hits may not have been outright illegal, but they were by far over the top, just like when Warren Sapp flattened that guy on the Packers. Completely unsportsmanlike.
Well, i was at game 6 (3 and 4 as well… we are finally getting paid back for having season seats for the last 5 years), and i have to say, the moment Kariya came back on the ice after getting rocked by Stevens was electric… As a hockey player and huge fan it was awesome.
I’m actually not a HUGE ducks fan… just a fan of hockey in general, and the Ducks just happen to be close by. That said, I’m not sure anyone can continue to call Kariya fragile and without heart… that was a huge performance he put forth on Saturday.
