I personally don’t care about it one way or another. It’s not a huge slap in the face to anyone, except maybe, himself. I’m sure Obama would have been glad to discuss politics with him. How often does any “average” citizen get a chance to do that? He should have gone and said what he said on Facebook to the President’s face.
That’s the totally amazing thing about critics. They can hold two mutually exclusive critical positions simultaneously in their heads. This is how, during the last election, people could be up in arms about what Obama’s pastor said, while at the same time saying he was a Muslim.
So in this case, it’s only a cheap PR event, while at the same time being an important political event. See?
I dont know if you can call Rev Wright a true pastor in the sense most christians perceive a pastor. Rev. Wright’s worldview is a poisonous mixture of Marxist socialism and a distorted view of the gospel of Jesus Christ which has as its chief goal the obliteration of Anglo/European influence on American life, culture and politics. Rev. Wright’s worldview comes across loud and clear: Barry Soetro aka Barrack Obama was raised as a Muslim in Indonisia by stepfather in Muslim schools. So I dont know what religion Obama truly believes.
I also find it troubling the swirling rumors and stories about Obamas down low life style. The mother of the murdered gay choir leader at Wrights church is speaking out claiming Obama had a relationship with him.

You’ve got it backwards. I’m saying it was a cheap political event, and the Bruins are apparently saying it was an important public relations event. But there’s no reason it couldn’t be both.

I look at everything I did not give the accusations much thought until the mother of one of the murder victims makes the accusations. Dont you find it strange that two gay men are executed and they are both connected to the Wright church and are both linked to Obama on a personal level?
This is a completely manufactured characterization of Wright; it would be an charitable to call it cartoonish. To buy into this, you would have to understand nothing about the black experience in America, not to mention not knowing anything specific about liberation theology.
