Stanley Kamel, Monk's shrink, found dead

Stanley Kamel, who played Adrian Monk’s psychiatrist, Dr. Kroger, was found dead of a heart attack at the age of 65 on Tuesday.

I’m a big fan of “Monk.” I wonder how they’ll handle Kamel’s death when the new season starts? It’ll be devastating for the Monk character, that’s for sure.

I am REALLY old.
I remember him on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives”. :frowning:

Woah, that sucks! I was enjoying him having more exposure as the series wore on.

Will be interesting to see how they treat this, yeah.

Oh no! That’s a shame. Sixty-five is too young to die, and Dr. Kroger was a great character. And no more of that gorgeous office with the waterfall.

:frowning:

Wow, what a shame. I’m a huge fan of “Monk,” and I’ll miss him.

Tragic indeed.

And it’s a safe bet that Monk won’t be dealing with this well.

That’s a shocker. I really liked his character on the show, and I haven’t a clue how they’ll deal with his loss.

Poor Monk - first he loses Sharona and now his therapist is gone.

What ever happened to Sharona? I only see the show once in a blue moon and didn’t catch the episode with the change.

There wasn’t one. The actress wanted more money, so Sharona went back to her ex husband off screen.
