Star Travel? A scam or an honest offer?

Does anyone know anything about Star Travel? my freind rcvd an offer to be the local “travel manager” for them. Sight unseen! However,I read the offer, and it includes pay, and no payments made by the employee.

Hoever, one main duty is to get paid then foward funds by Western Union, which is fishy.

Nope, walk away from that one. There is no legitimate business that requires you to take your pay and then forward remaining funds via western union.

Obvious scam. He will either be laundering money or the checks will be fake. Probably the latter, but the former isn’t anything he would want to be involved with either.

Please read about the common scams involving Western Union:

ETA: Forwarding money is one of them (“When Easy Money Isn’t Easy”)

Scam scam scam. Turn and run.

Clearly a scam.

Out of curiosity… You wrote that your friend ‘received an offer.’ They approached her with a job offer? Out of the blue? Had she replied to a posting on Craig’s List?

I think it was Yahoo or Monster or Careerbuilder, she posted her resume there. The offer came out of the blue, but it was in response to her resume that was posted.
