Star Trek inaccuracies

Unquestionably the most ill-conceived character ever, after Wesley Crusher.

Wesley could have been a great (though it require a fine line of balance*) character. Play him like a frigging TEENAGER who, though he won’t acknowledge it has some resentment towards Picard. Also (Though you cant see it with Wil) make him good-looking and (as he ages) popular with women close to his age.

*You want him human, but not arrogant. Relatable but not a brat. LET the adults hoist themselves on their own Picard.

Picard: What is this child doing on the bridge!

Wesley looks at him, slightly shakes his head and just leaves. No eyeroll, no smart ass retort.

Let him be the center of his own universe instead of an author stand-in or walking bag of traits

Jake on DS9 was allowed to be rounded and his own man!

But yeah re: Troi. Its hilarious that various writers treated her by different definitions of ‘councelor’ . Im surprised no one put her in charge of a summer camp.
