I always thought that the original release date was a bit too optimistic. So I have to wonder why the change? Was shooting delayed because of the strike? Are they having to rework some scenes? Or was there a hole in Paramount’s summer release schedule caused by the strike and they decided to shift the film to the summer to plug it?
Well, Abrams has said that he shot many scenes in November, December and January that he would have loved to have tweaked, or added a line too, that he could not, since he was a member of WGA.
Many Shatner fans are hopeful that this delay may mean. . . well, you know what they hope it will mean.
Well, if they aren’t going to be ready by December, having them push it all the way to May is a good sign. If they moved it MLK weekend in January it would indicate that the studio thought the movie really blows.
Release dates for that far out are pretty soft so Angels and Demons and or Wolverine may move.
