If I have this right, Warner Bros. has decided they made so much money with Batman this year, that they want to push Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince back to a July 2009 release date (from November 2008)!
Aieee!
Want Half-Blood Prince now!

The reason I heard stated is that the writers strike delayed their summer tent poles for next year, so they are moving Harry there.
Paramount is doing the same thing with Trek.

I am sorry about your Harry Potter though.
One of the theories going around the office is that it’s because Radcliffe will be starring in the revival of Equus in Broadway, and the filmmakers want to wait until people won’t be able to see a naked Daniel Radcliffe on the stage before the movie comes out.
Damn, they’re doing that one in IMAX 3D too, I was kind of interested to see that.
