Star Wars Blooper

I’ve seen it… There’s a pretty significant audio “whack” that happens at the same time. There’s a cut to a different shot less than a second later. I figure it was probably an accident they decided to keep, just to see if people noticed (or because they didn’t have a better take).

It always sounded just like he shouted, “Hey!”

Not “Carrie!”

Of course, there’s the Han and the “twelve parsecs” thingy, although technically, he did cut it short by skimming close to a blackhole cluster known as the Maw.

Ever heard of sarcasm? Some people are so skilled at using it that other people can’t pick up on it . . .

Whoa…I was only kidding…

WOW! 20?!? Oh my GOD!

The funniest is when Luke comes out of the X-Wing and yells, “Episode IV!!!”

No, but I’m “SURE” that when I saw it back in the theaters in 1977, the initial title and perspective-text-crawl were in white letters, instead of yellow like they are now.

Ferry,

You are right. You were just kidding . . . I guess now my second post applies to myself!! DAMN!!

I swear, every time I try to be right . . .

The head-bump makes sense in context-- The Imperial Navy uniforms weren’t designed by folks who had to use them in combat. The first thing Luke says when he and Han get into their purloined stormtrooper uniforms is “I can’t see a thing in this helmet!” This also explains why stormtroopers are such notoriously bad shots.

I don’t know if it was intentional, but it pleases me to think of it that way-- it reminds me of that other Empire that mandated that its soldiers on duty in Africa needed heavy uniforms “for protection against the rays of the sun,” maintaining that even more soldiers would be dropping from heat prostration if central command allowed them to wear light clothing, like they’d been pleading for. (The natives, of course, could get away with not wearing heavy wool garments because they’d “adapted to the heat.”) Bureaucracy is great that way.

Welcome to my world  I’ll try to use more smilies to get my message across, ok?
