Star Wars Cantina theme played with a pencil

Because why not?

At first blush I thought maybe it would become a sound wave formula or something. I had to turn the volume up a bit more before I figured it out.

There’s a thing in biomusicology called entrainment, it’s the unconscious synchronization to an external rhythm. So if you’re listening to music your breaths might unconsciously synch to the beat. Or you might write in synch with the melody.

Of course you can do so consciously, too.

Oh, come on. That’s bloody genius!

I had to listen to it about a dozen times before I heard it.

I can’t pick up the Cantina Band at all, but the next video after that, the Imperial March, sounds just fine.

Thanks to everybody who posted links. They were all fun.

Be sure to have your sound turned up pretty high. Don’t worry, it won’t blast you.

There’s a whole slew of music played on floppy disk drives on YouTube.

Hey, here comes one, now!
