I’m looking forward to seeing Jedi Master Skywalker.
And you will get to.

I completely agree with this. The more I hear about Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill’s involvement, the less interested I am
I’m marginally less interested in “The Further Adventures of Luke Skywalker” than I am in “What Happens Forty Years After Jedi?” I wouldn’t mind a young actor as a recast Luke, running around fighting the Empire. I’d definitely buy tickets to that movie. But a movie focusing on new characters in the same setting offers a slightly higher chance that the new film won’t just be retreading the same ground as the last six.
I was more excited about the new movies when I thought the original cast were just going to have small roles. If they are really the leads, Im a bit more worried about the finished product.
IMHO, one of the worst parts of I through III was the insistence on returning to damn near every character and place and throwaway line from the originals. Are we going to see Tatooine and Coruscant yet again? It’s a whole freaking galaxy, show us something new.
Erm. Do we have some reason to think that?
I’m going to guess that the original cast will have some significance in this movie but that they will fade away/get killed off in the inevitable sequels.
This is too much of a high-profile project to let it rest completely on unknowns (I’ve never heard of any of these newbies), so Harrison and the other oldtimers have to pick up the slack a bit.
I’m dying to see what the general public thinks of Mark Hamill. I mean, we here at least know that he is a prolific and super-talented voice actor, but most people think he fell off the face of the Earth in the 80s.
A few months ago, when the screenplay switcheroo occurred, it was widely reported that the new version was focused on the original characters. The next two will focus on the new guys. But it is all rumor at this point.
Whatever. I’m pysched. Really looking forward to these movies; hope they’re worth the wait!
This film has been aped by the Apist!
Yep. It’s called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I love that they put a sign outside so folks would know it is filming in there.
Haha, that puts it exactly. I think his Star Trek movies were awful.

Let’s hope. Star Wars should always come out in May.
Just like James Bond should always come out in November.
Since Disney isn’t releasing any specifics on what happened to Ford, I guess it’s up to us to start our own rumors.
Did the Wookie lose at chess?
Maybe Greedo’s grandson got payback?
