A buddy and I were chatting on the way into work, and we thought it would be great to remake Star Wars using Simpson characters.
Here is what we came up with.
The Obvious:
Bart = Luke
Lisa = Leia
Homer = Darth Vader
The Rest:
Lenny and Carl = Han and Chewie (Don’t know which would be which yet.)
Mr. Burns = Emperor Palpatine (“Endor eh?”)
Smithers = Royal Servant (Those dudes in purple in ROTJ)
Chief Wiggum = Grand Moff Tarkin. (“Book 'er boys.”)
Dr. Nick = Lando (Falcon lands on Bespin. Lando emerges with his entourage, “Hi everybody!”)
Ralph Wiggum = Yoda. (“I’m a Jedi!”)
Milhouse VanHousen = CPO
Barney Gumble = Jabba (“Belch!”)
Ale Simpson = Obi Wan
Maybe’s:
Nelson Munts = Admiral Piet (After Admiral Ozzle is killed by Vader “Ha ha!”)
Moe = Cantina bartender. (Duh!)
I’ll post more as I come up with them, but feel free to give your ideas. (Even for Episode 1!!!)
More:
Troy McClure: EV-9D9 (“Hi there! I’m EV-9D9. You might remember me from such torture sessions as, last week, and the day before that.”)

Itchy and Sratchy as Ewoks (with the Happy Little Elves as backup)
It sucks that Marge can’t be in it. I mean, Leia was ** the only chick** in the trilogy. That ain’t right.
She could be cast in Episode 1 as Shmi
Snake: Sebulba (“Alright! A Pod race!!!”)

Comic Store guy = Admiral Ackbar
“No, the Death Star cannot be defeated by Bizarro Superman. If you had read your battle plan carefully, you would know that”
Professor Frink = 3P0
“The odds of success are 325,000 to 1, lavin”
Apu makes a better Lando.
Sideshow Bob as Boba Fett. (Sideshow Boba Fett)
Maggie as R2D2.

Sorry, I can’t count Episode 1 as Star Wars.
Blessed, I feel your pain. =)
I think that Martin would also make a good 3PO.
Good call on Ackbar, Xizor! =) (Need to add: “Now get off of my bridge…”)

I disagree with Bart as Luke. I think Ralph Wiggum would make a WAY better Luke. That would make Chief Wiggum play Darth Vader, which is also better.
Good point, but the ‘Bart - Homer’ relationship is better suited. They are always at odds.
The Chief and Ralph seem to get along.

She could be Mon Mothma, oh ye of little memory of females (that goes for both of you ) HEr voice would go all scratchy and nervous before making her speech, but then she’d take the place by storm!

Am I the only one who automatically thought of Dr. Julius Hibbert as Darth Vader? Think of it;
“Leave that to me… heh heh heh heh”
I guess I was the only one…
::sigh::
The Flanders could be Luke’s Aunt and Uncle.
Milhouse would be a great Wedge.
Nelson and the other bullies would work as Stormtroopers.
Krusty is a better Obi-Wan than Abe Simpson. (Hey! Hey! Hey! Use the force Bart.)

I don’t like Ralph Wiggum as Yoda either. This is better:
Bleeding Gums Murphy = Yoda.
I think he should be the “voice” of Vader. Leave Homer, the white guy, in the suit.
“Don’t make me bust a cap in your ass, yo! Jedi’s the most insulting installment, because Vader’s beautiful, black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty white man! They’re trying to tell us that deep inside, we all want to be white!” - Hooper X, Chasing Amy
I also see Apu as Yoda .
“A Yedi’s power flows from the force, thank you come again”

I see Ned Flanders as **Darth Vader[/b.
“No. I am your ding dang diddly father, Lukerino.”
I keep seeing Millhouse as Han, but mostly because of his crush on Lisa…
How about Groundskeeper Willie as ObiWan? (“Troost yer feelins, Luke! Let gooo! Just shoot the damn thing!”)
