Star Wars Teaser Poster Out - Look it is Lord Helmet

Yeah, it looks too rough and ready.

And like Bryan Ekers said, I see Jabba in there! :stuck_out_tongue:

And the fake trailers, and the fake scripts…

You’d think that Lucas would get the hint when all the fanboy stuff is better than what he’s cranking out, but no.

The problem I have with the prequels is that Lucas hits you over the head with what everyone knows is going to happen. I feel that the movies should have been made to stand on there own, with perhaps a few very subtle instances of foreshadowing. I’ll probably just wait until the DVD is released to see it, like I do with most current movies.

Then don’t see it. PLEASE.

I really don’t want any of you there with me. Thanks.

I didn’t realize that fear of suckage was contagious…

Doesn’t have the style or the veneer of the previous two posters, or any of the posters from the original three. I doubt this is the real thing.

Marley23:

Look at the URL. It is from the official Star Wars website.

I noticed. But it… doesn’t seem right. scratches head

Well…it is being sold by the official Star Wars shop…

See above poster. (Doper, not Star Wars merchandise.)

I know, I know, I know, it just doesn’t look right to me. sigh

There hasn’t been much right with Star Wars since, oh, 1984 or so.

Here is a news story about it from Star Wars.com. It is official.

I did not see the “image on the cape” view until mentioned Kel Varnsen - Latex Division mentioned it. At first it reminded me of that Ahrnold movie on Mars where that alien parasite guy lives on the guy’s back. Ah, Total Recall.

The poster is just bad artwork no matter how you slice it.

Yeah, I totally couldn’t tell it was his cape at first, although it is clearer if you enlarge the image. But at first I was just sitting here wondering “How and why is Anakin hiding behind Darth Vader’s shoulder?”

Just because I fear for the movie doesn’t mean I won’t see it, and doesn’t mean that I’ll be idiotic and sit there trashing the movie in hearing of the others. (Pisses me off when people do that, if you think it’s that bad then walk out now or stay silent and then trash it after when others can’t hear.)

Besides I figure if I go in with low expectations, I’ll enjoy it more than if I went in with high ones.

Tried that with Episodes 1 & 2. I wish I could say it worked…

And count me in as another one who never saw it as Mannikin’s cape until Kel pointed it out.

I recommend consuming some of this. It deadens the pain quite nicely.

And I’m gonna have to sith–I mean sit–through the trailer, just to see The Incredibles.

OH! MY STOMACH HURTS!

It is true: evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
