Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Seen It (Assume Spoilers Within)

Uh, no. Jar Jar’s rank was Bombad General.

Anyway, you guys won’t be laughing when Snoke turns out to be Jar Jar.

Not hard to believe at all. One just doesn’t just casually let some other man use one’s crossbow!

Bowcasters are a vital part of Wookie heritage. A human using one would be cultural appropriation.

Why did they change darth Vader’s (II) mask? the original one was better than the new version.

???

There are two masks. Kylo/Emo Darth has his own mask, and also keeps the mask used by his grandfather, Darth Vader.

The only person from the original trilogy that I think would’ve kept ashes and the maks would be Luke, so that means Luke carried it around all those years as something personal, and Kylo somehow got access to it and stole it. I can’t see Luke, if he had kept Vader’s mask, giving it up willingly.

Don’t feed it.

Yeah, I don’t remember the end of RotJ well enough to know what happened to Vader’s corpse. Did Luke take it or something? Otherwise, it would have just blown up with the rest of Death Star 2.0

They burned Vader’s body, armor and all, on a pyre on the forest moon of Endor. Presumably, Kylo Ren tracked down the remnants of the pyre and retrieved the melted helmet.

Oh, that’s right. Forgot all about that scene. Thanks.

Edit: It’s always “Forest moon of Endor”. Was Endor the planet around which the forest moon orbited? Or was Endor the forest moon? Was there a desert moon or swampland moon that “forest moon” needed to be applied? I bet there’s in depth answers to all these questions.

Or took it from someone who could have kept it as a memento, such as Luke. Because if it were up to the ewoks, I don’t think they would have conserved his remnants, considering how they were playing with the other helmets like drum plates at the end of ROTJ.

His suit did change a bit throughout the original trilogy, I think. However, his helmet remained the same. I think.

Endor is the gas giant that the forest moon of Endor orbits, and it can be seen in the sky in the Ewok movies (which I believe are still canon). Whether it has any other moons of note is not something I think the old EU ever addressed.

I will assume the first part of your sentence is true, but I think it’s more than that. Kylo Ren stops for a moment before re-entering his ship and then immediately recalls Finn’s number in a later scene, like he’s been thinking about him for a while.

I’ve only seen it once, so I’ll concede this point, It seemed quick to me.

Yes, but my memory is that Finn was busy doing something else when it happened and he reacted before seeing it. I’ll have to go watch it again to verify.

Since you say you’ve been wondering about it, too, what sparked that? I’d love to hear other theories!

According to the wiki, Endor WAS the name of the moon although it doesn’t name the planet it orbited or hint at any non-forested moons that we’d have to keep using the descriptive term. Also, it had two suns, Endor and the other Endor. [Edit: the sidebar says the planet it orbited was named Endor. So Endor, orbiting Endor and illuminated by Endor and Endor…]

Ewoks aren’t especially creative, I guess.

That’s like the song “Big Country” by the group “Big Country” on their album “Big Country.”

This reminds me of something I always kind of rolled my eyes about concerning the SW universe. Every planet seems to be a “_______ planet”. Tattooine is a desert planet; Endor is all forest; Hoth is all ice and snow; etc. Doesn’t this galaxy have any planets like ours, with different climates and ecosystems throughout? What is Hoth like at the equator? What is Tattooine like at the poles?

Naboo looked like it had variety.

Ironically, reading the description of the Forest Moon of Endor, it has a race of sentient beings who live on the plains of the Forest Moon of Endor and another race that inhabits the swamps of the Forest Moon of Endor. No mention of the deserts of the Forest Moon of Endor or tundras of the Forest Moon of Endor.

They were all named by Hodor, but his handwriting is really hard to read.

Ren found Fin’s lack of faith… I dunno… irking, or something.
